Crapless craps
In crapless craps the come-out roll can never lose – but that comfort costs you a much higher house edge.
The simulator needs JavaScript. The rules, payouts and house edge are below.

What is crapless craps
- Seven on the come-out: Pass Line wins.
- Two, three, eleven or twelve: no instant win or loss – the total becomes the point.
- Four, five, six, eight, nine or ten: the point, same as regular craps.
- After the point: hit the point before seven to win, roll seven first to lose (seven-out).
- No Don't Pass bet on the table.
Crapless craps vs craps
In regular craps the come-out pays at once on seven or eleven and loses at once on two, three or twelve. Crapless craps removes both the instant losses and the instant win on eleven.
Example: you roll twelve on the come-out. Regular craps – you lose. Crapless craps – twelve is now your point.
Why losing the eleven matters
There are 2 ways to roll eleven out of thirty-six dice combinations. In regular craps each one is an instant win.
In crapless craps eleven becomes a point, and seven (6 ways) beats it most of the time. Two, three and twelve also become points, but they used to be losses, so you gain less there than you give up on eleven.
Crapless craps odds and house edge
Compare the Pass Line edge before you choose a table: 5.38% in crapless craps against 1.41% in regular craps.
On average you lose much more per Pass Line dollar in crapless craps. Over many rolls your loss as a share of your total bets tends to move closer to that edge.
Crapless craps strategy: take the odds
After a point is set, add an odds bet behind the Pass Line – it pays true odds and has no house edge.
Odds work on every point, including the new ones: two, three, eleven and twelve. With three-four-five times odds the combined edge drops from 5.38% to 1.26%.
That is still higher than regular craps with the same odds. No betting system removes the edge – see craps strategy.

Questions
What is crapless craps?
It is a craps version where only seven wins on the come-out and every other total, including two, three, eleven and twelve, becomes the point. You can never lose on the come-out roll, and there is no Don't Pass bet.
Is crapless craps better than regular craps?
No. The Pass Line house edge is 5.38% in crapless craps against 1.41% in regular craps, mostly because eleven is no longer an instant win.
Can you bet Don't Pass in crapless craps?
No. Crapless tables do not offer Don't Pass, so you can only bet with the shooter on the Pass Line and Come bets.
Do odds bets work on the points two, three, eleven and twelve?
Yes. Odds pay true odds on every point and have no house edge. With three-four-five times odds the combined edge falls to 1.26%, but it never reaches zero.
What are the payouts in crapless craps?
The Pass Line pays even money, and odds bets pay true odds for each point. The house edge comes from the come-out rules, not from the payouts.
